The Indy Experience

Great Teaching & Learning

The Indy Experience shapes students into curious, passionate, and capable learners, ready for whatever comes next. Independence students are truly known, valued, and celebrated, creating a learning environment where they thrive. Great teaching and learning are the foundation of an exceptional education. Through our dynamic, sequential and spiraling real-world curriculum, students engage deeply, collaborate meaningfully, and develop the confidence to navigate an ever-changing world. Independence exists to serve students, and meeting their needs must come first. Now, more than ever, being exceptional matters. That’s the Indy Experience.

Milestones & Memories

At Independence, every stage of learning brings meaningful moments that shape a child’s journey. From Early Childhood to Middle School, each division is marked by milestones—experiences that spark curiosity, honor growth, build confidence, and prepare students for what’s ahead.

Outdoor Classroom

Early Childhood students thrive in The Funk Outdoor Classroom, where play sparks curiosity. These hands-on experiences show the power of learning through discovery.

Patriotic Program

The Patriotic Program highlights third grade students as they grow in confidence and skill. By meeting each child where they are, we celebrate progress at every stage.

Creek Exploration

During creek exploration, Intermediate School students investigate nature with purpose and wonder. These experiences reflect our commitment to supporting every student.

Capstone Projects

Eighth grade Capstone Projects showcase the skills and passions students have developed. Through this work, they prepare with confidence for the journey ahead.

The Independence School allowed us to develop ties and friendships that will last a lifetime.
