We are happy to announce that our Mindful Studio has reopened and will be available on a voluntary basis to middle school students to develop skills that support practices of mindfulness. A few years ago, middle school English teacher Lynn Fabian became certified through Mindful Schools and began sharing this practice with her students, who found that mindfulness helped with stress, confidence, communication, metacognition and focus.
Mrs. Fabian and parent volunteer Fontayne Fox (also trained by Mindful Schools) will run 15- to 20-minute sessions several times a week during study halls, where students are welcome to drop in. The studio has a new location and a fresh look thanks to Mrs. Fabian, fellow middle school English teacher Hilary Sophrin, and Mrs. Fox. They are excited to bring this aspect of wellness to our students.
