Student Life

Beyond the Classroom

In addition to engaging classroom experiences, Independence’s vibrant and active community of learners participate in a diverse variety of clubs and activities, ranging from drama to Science Olympiad. Numerous leadership opportunities exist for students, as well. Becoming a Student Ambassador, joining the Student Government Association, and volunteering for community service all help to build confident and independent students. Enrichment and fun do not end with the school day. Offerings through Extended Care and Summer at Independence keep our campus spirited virtually all year long.

The Independence School allowed us to develop ties and friendships that will last a lifetime. The connections we have made with our classmates and instructors have given us a support system that will continue well beyond our time here.
