THE LEGACY SCHOLARSHIP
for Children of Independence Graduates

The Independence School has established the Legacy Scholarship in appreciation of Independence alumni who return to “their first alma mater” as parents.

Since its founding in 1978, Independence has remained true to its mission of inspiring students to dream big and achieve. We continue to provide an unparalleled education for the critical foundation years in a nurturing setting and with an exceptional faculty. As our alumni choose an Independence education for their own children, we offer this scholarship to show our appreciation.

In order to receive the Legacy Scholarship (applied to tuition each year of enrollment), one of the parents must have graduated from Independence. Candidates must successfully complete all components of the admission process. Students in every grade level - from preschool through eighth grade - may receive this scholarship. (Please note that the amount of the award is prorated for Early Childhood students enrolled in a part-time program.)

Additionally, all alumni are welcome to apply for financial assistance through our Financial Aid program.

Please contact the Admission Office at 302-239-0332 for more information on the Legacy Scholarship and the admission process. For a confidential conversation about tuition assistance, please contact Donna Sentman, Admission & Financial Aid Manager (302-239-0332, dsentman@indyde.org).
