A Campaign to Support Educational Excellence
Dear Independence Community,
As we are preparing for the school year ahead, I wanted to take a moment to share some great news with you.
In late June, just after the end of the 2022-23 school year, the Board of Trustees hosted a retirement celebration for Vicky Yatzus. During the event, it was officially announced that we surpassed our goal of $3 million for the Foundation for the Future Capital Campaign! This is truly wonderful and exciting news. The Campaign began in the fall of 2018 and, despite a slight pause during the pandemic, was a success under Vicky’s leadership. This result would not have been possible without our dedicated Capital Campaign Committee, Board of Trustees, and the generous support from countless members of the Independence community and area foundations.
Having now closed out the Campaign, we look forward to the start of a fantastic school year under the leadership of Head of School Tim Costello.
