ECI
Early Childhood I

** Please bring in 2 recent photos of student (labeled with child’s name) for us to use in class. They will not be returned.
Please send in the following items for your child:
- 10 pack of washable broad markers
- 10 pack of washable thin markers
- 8 pack of crayons
- 5 small glue sticks - Staples and Elmer’s work the best
- 1 plastic folder (folder should have bottom pockets that are closed on 3 sides
Cleanliness and personal hygiene continue be top priorities. Please send in the following items:

1 container of Clorox/Lysol/disinfecting wipes

1 box of tissues

Exploring and investigating outside is an important part of our learning. Please send in the following items for your child to keep at school:
- A pair of rain boots
- An extra set of clothes (including socks and underwear) in a Ziploc bag labeled with your child’s name
- An outdoor seat pad with carrying handle (click here for a sample)
Each day, ALL students will need:

1 large open tote bag with handles (at least 15” high x 19” wide or larger). It should be able to accommodate a lunch box, a folder, and any other small items (stuffed animal) needed for rest time. No backpacks, please!
The Independence Spirit Store offers two nice tote bag choices for those interested. Click here and here to purchase one!
- A snack - please provide the utensils and napkins needed. Reusable utensils and cloth napkins are recommended.
- A refillable water bottle
Each day, FULL-DAY students will need:
- A lunch - please provide the utensils and napkins needed. Reusable utensils and cloth napkins are recommended.
- A rest towel or sleeping mat that rolls. Your child should be able to carry it independently. (Most have a carrying handle that makes this easier.) These will be sent home weekly to be washed.

- 1 plastic folder

- 1 set of sturdy and reliable headphones in a plastic bag labeled with your child’s name (no earbuds, please)

1st
First Grade

- 4 two-pocket vinyl or heavyweight folders. The pockets should run along the bottom of the folder. Folder colors - 1 green, 1 blue, and 2 “fun” folders
- 1 dozen sharpened plain yellow TICONDEROGA-brand pencils
- 1 one-subject spiral notebooks
- 4-6 glue sticks
- 24-pack of crayons - Crayola only (standard colors)
- 1 pack of broad-tip markers (10) - Crayola only (standard colors)
- 1 pack of thin-tip markers (10) - Crayola only (standard colors)
- 1 soft pencil case with zipper
- 1 pair of Fiskars child-sized, blunt-tip scissors
- 1 set of sturdy and reliable headphones (no earbuds) in a sturdy, hangable abeled case (click here for a sample)

Please label ONLY the seat pad, backpack, lunchbox, water shoes, headphone case, scissors, pencil case, water bottle, and change of clothing. The teachers will put uniform labels on everything else.

Third Grade

- Spiral notebooks: 1 three-subject (blue), 1 three-subject (green), and 1 one-subject (choice color or design)
- Erasable pens (blue or black)
- 1 colored pen (your choice)
- Pencils with erasers
- A small pencil sharpener
- Highlighters (orange, green, blue, purple)
- 1 ream of wide-ruled notebook paper
- 1 soft, zipper pencil case for pens and pencils
- 1 box of broad-tipped colored markers (8)
- 1 box of thin-tipped colored markers (8)
- 1 box of colored pencils (8-16)
- 1 small box of crayons (8-24)
- 1 pair of scissors (7-inch Fiskars work well. Please label.)

Fifth Grade

- One 2-inch binder with clear view cover
- 2 packs (100 sheets) of loose leaf paper (whichever size works best for you)
- 2 sets of subject dividers with write-on tabs
- 1 3-subject spiral notebook
- Erasable blue or black pens (no novelty pens) - labeled with name
- Red pens - labeled with name
- Pencils with erasers - labeled with name
- Handheld pencil sharpener
- 1 large eraser
- 1 pack of colored pencils (12) - standard colors
- 1 large pencil case with zipper and binder holes
- Scissors to fit in pencil case (optional)- label with name
- Whiteboard markers and eraser
- White poster board will be needed throughout the year upon request
- 9x12 spiral drawing sketch book with 100+ pages (for art)
- 1 set of sturdy and reliable headphones of AirPods - labeled with name
Physical Education:
- Physical Education Uniforms are required and it is recommended that students have at least two sets of uniforms/approved apparel. They can be purchased in the Spirit Store or by clicking here.
Cleanliness and personal hygiene will continue to be top priorities. Please send in the following items:
- 1 bottle of sanitizer (minimum of 70% alcohol) - 8 oz. or larger
- 1 large container of Clorox/Lysol (disinfecting) wipes
- 2 boxes of tissues

- 1 pack of graph paper (1/4" grid; 3-hold punch preferred)

- Black Sharpies (fine-tipped)
- Pencils with erasers - 2 dozen to start
