We are pleased to share the latest hiring updates and welcome Jennifer Kellner, Kindergarten Assistant, and Isaiah Tomalesky, Long-term Music Substitute, to Independence.
Jennifer Kellner - Kindergarten Assistant
Jennifer will team with Janet Hershner as the Kindergarten Assistant. She has extensive classroom experience, having taught Pre-K and Kindergarten at St. Anne’s Episcopal School and serving as a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) Instructor in the Appoquinimick School District.
Isaiah Tomalesky - Long-term Music Substitute
Isaiah will cover Daniel Kitching’s classes when he goes on a six-week paternity leave after the first seven day cycle. Holding a BA in Music Education and MA in Trombone Performance, Isaiah has teaching experience at the middle school, high school, and college level. Isaiah and Dan will work closely together during the opening days of the school year to ensure a smooth transition.
