Secondary School Night

Navigating high school admissions is a major milestone at Independence, and a true whole-family decision.

Each fall, Indy hosts Secondary School Night, an event designed to guide our 7th and 8th-grade students and their parents through the path ahead, encouraging them to explore every possibility with an open mind. From local independent schools to boarding schools, families can connect with Admission Directors, gather information, ask questions, and begin exploring the many opportunities beyond graduation.

One of the most rewarding parts of the evening is welcoming our alumni back to campus. Serving as ambassadors for their current schools, these returning graduates continue to hone their public speaking skills while offering a personal perspective on their first-hand high school experiences.

This year, we welcomed 15 participating schools! A huge thank you to the representatives and alumni from:

Archmere Academy • Garrison Forest School • Mercersburg Academy • Padua Academy • Salesianum School • Sanford School • St. Andrew's School • Saint Mark's HS • The Charter School of Wilmington • The Hun School of Princeton • The Peddie School • The Tatnall School • Tower Hill School • Westtown School • Wilmington Friends School
