In recent weeks, 7th & 8th grade English students engaged in what has become a truly unique Independence experience: performing Shakespeare scene studies in the Great Barn. Working in small groups, they diligently learned, memorized, and staged scenes in this picturesque setting. The performances were surrounded by the dramatic pillars and stone walls of one of Delaware's oldest barn structures. The open-air theatre feel adds a touch of authenticity to their performances.
