On the Walls In the Halls: Student-Made Bulletin Boards

We were happy to welcome so many potential Independence families to our Open House last weekend. To help showcase our program, the walls were covered in fantastic work from students of all grade levels. We especially loved finding these two bulletin boards created by students with no guidance from their teacher, other than the project description.

Right outside of Ms. Copeland's science lab, 6th grade earth science students created a bulletin board to help teach their peers about what causes air to move by way of two types of local winds: sea breezes and land breezes.

Upstairs in the 4th grade hallway, Ms. Gilmore's economics students built an entire city to show that our community is filled with many different goods and services - some public and some private. The city is complete with just about everything, even a 3-dimensional traffic light.
