Alumni and alumni parents are invited to join us on campus for our Fall Alumni Social on Monday, November 24, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. The annual Alumni Awards and the new Independence Legacy Award will also be presented at the event. Enjoy reconnecting with graduates and their families over appetizers and drinks, plus visit with current and former Independence teachers and staff!

Announcing this year's Award Recipients!
During the fall Social, we'll recognize the 2025 Alumni Award and Independence Legacy Award recipients, who were nominated by peers for exemplifying the values and spirit of Independence.
This year's recipients are:
Rising Star Alumni Award: Hita Kambhamettu '14 and Alexandra Mavridis '17
Outstanding Alumni Award: Peggy Willis Courtney '85
Introducing the Independence Legacy Award
The Independence Legacy Award honors a current or former faculty/staff member whose compassion, guidance, and dedication have left a lasting impact on students and the school community. This award celebrates an individual who has served as a mentor, a source of inspiration, and a steady guide through both academic and personal growth.
