Indy 7th Graders Pitch Big Ideas in First-Ever Shark Tank Challenge

Independence 7th graders recently stepped into the spotlight for the school’s first-ever Shark Tank-style presentations, pitching original business ideas to a panel of six professional “Sharks” from fields including engineering, finance, entrepreneurship, software development, and Head of School Tim Costello.

Over 15 students in Mr. Cloud’s Shark Tank elective showcased inventive products and thoughtful business plans, each one designed to solve real-world problems in creative ways. After delivering their pitches, students faced a round of follow-up questions from the sharks, responding with confidence, clarity, and quick thinking. From concept to Q and A, they handled the pressure like seasoned entrepreneurs.

The event marked a standout moment for the program and a successful day for Indy’s young innovators, who walked away with valuable feedback and a memorable first taste of the entrepreneurial world.
