On Tuesday, March 14, our school community came together to honor classmate and friend, Sam Hanna, in the first annual "SAM DUNK 3v3 Basketball Tournament." Sam valued fair play, hard work, friendship, integrity, and competition and all 75 players embodied these characteristics on the court.
A very special thanks to Mrs. Horsey and Mr. Motta for organizing such a wonderful event. Thank you, as well, to the faculty members who volunteered their time, parents for supporting our middle school athletes, and of course, to the 25 teams who participated.
Congratulations to our four winning teams of the tournament!
5th & 6th Grade Girls: "Hoops I Did It Again" (Lexi, Peyton, Lauren)
5th & 6th Grade Boys: "The Managers" (Joseph, Declan, Henry)
7th & 8th Grade Girls: "The 3 Musketeers" (Isabela, Riley, Lila)
7th & 8th Grade Boys: "Delaware Globetrotters" (Jack, Zach, Drew)
All proceeds from the tournament will benefit a scholarship being established in Sam’s name. #Play4Sam
