Kindergarten Explores the Five Senses with Nature and Science

The Kindergarten students recently visited the Delaware Museum of Nature and Science, bringing their classroom studies on the five senses to life. Throughout the trip, students discovered that animals have the same five senses as humans and explored how creatures around the world use theirs in remarkable ways, like how elephants can use their feet to hear!

As they moved through the museum’s exhibits, students were encouraged to use their own senses to learn and explore. They petted a snake to feel its unique texture, touched a taxidermied owl's feathers, and conducted experiments focused on smell and hearing. Each experience deepened their understanding of how animals adapt to their environments.

The field trip offered a memorable way to connect classroom learning with real-world discovery. It was the perfect blend of learning and fun!
