Fourth Grade Entrepreneurs

A favorite hallmark event for Independence students is the culminating project for the fourth-grade Economics and Entrepreneurial Studies (E3) curriculum, the "business sessions." As part of this year-long course, the students create currency and learn how to develop, launch, and market a business or service. Friday, March 10, was the first of their two business sessions at which the students experience customer interface and sales, and assess how their pricing works in the marketplace. The next business session is on Friday, May 12, with parents invited to attend. Congratulations to these young entrepreneurs on their hard work and creative business and service ideas!
