Fifth graders embrace adventure, teamwork at NorthBay
On Nov. 1, the fifth graders and their teachers were "challenged by choice" during their visit to NorthBay Adventure Camp in North East, Maryland. They participated in many outdoor activities that promoted team unity and group work, including a new feature called the “Amazing Race,” where teams performed STEM activities and tasks that required collaboration and communication in order to execute a job.
Individuals were also encouraged to take part in physical activities such as a high ropes course, ziplining, climbing a rock wall, and the Giant Swing!
