Celebrating the Big Bang of the Books
This week, more than 50 Independence 4th and 5th graders joined students from Tatnall, Tower Hill, and Wilmington Friends for a collaborative field trip at Wilmington Friends School. The event served as the culmination of the year-long "Big Bang of the Books" reading challenge. Highlights of the visit included a picnic, a friendly Kahoot! trivia competition featuring mixed-school teams answering questions about their reading list, and an author meet-and-greet with Carolyn Mackler, author of Right Back at You.
