Summer at Independence 2026 has officially come to a close, leaving behind lasting memories and dozens of new friendships. The final week featured a tropical water slide, creek time, fishing trips, and an epic glow-in-the-dark dance party. A special highlight of the season was our first annual Duck Hunt, where campers had a blast hunting down mini plastic ducks hidden all over campus. Congratulations to team Flip Flops for taking home the championship trophy!

Beyond the daily excitement, the real magic was watching more than 300 campers step out of their comfort zones and discover new interests, all while making lifelong friends. 

Thank you to Jen Hayes and Stacy Walsh for all their work behind the scenes, the counselors for making everyday fun, and to all of our camp families for trusting Independence with your children. We are already counting down the days until next summer!
