The Power of Nothing: How Does the Placebo Effect Work?, What is Really in our Food?, and The Battle of Midway: The Beginning of the End of the Japanese Empire—just a glimpse into the wide variety of topics explored by our Class of 2025 for their Capstone Projects, which they presented on Monday night.

This multi-faceted, student-directed, long-term investigative project represents the culmination of every critical aspect of an Independence education. The hallmark program empowers students to think critically and develop essential skills for high school, college, and beyond, including written and oral communication, public speaking, research, media literacy, planning, pacing, and organization.
