Bard in the Barn: An Independence Tradition

Every spring, our 7th and 8th grade English students take part in what has become a truly unique Independence experience: performing Shakespeare in the Great Barn. Against a backdrop of towering stone walls, sturdy pillars, and a wooden stage, students rehearse, memorize, and bring scenes from the Bard’s works to life.

The setting provides more than atmosphere. It offers a sense of authenticity that helps these students embrace their characters.

Congratulations to these young performers for another outstanding year of Shakespeare in the Barn!
