A European Adventure to France and Italy

International travel returned to Independence with a trip to France and Italy! Twenty-three middle schoolers enjoyed two nights in Paris visiting the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, and the Louvre, followed by two nights in Nice which was the highlight of their European adventure. They toured the city on bikes, visited a perfume factory, and swam in the Mediterranean. Their time in Nice ended with a special moment - seeing the Olympic torch make its way through the streets.

After France, our students traveled to Italy where they visited the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the Colosseum, the Vatican, the Sistine Chapel, the Trevi Fountain, and more. They toured a gelato faculty and enjoyed an authentic (and delicious) pizza-making experience - the perfect ending to their trip!

Special shoutout to our incredible trip leader Mrs. Fallon, and our tireless chaperones Mrs. Rispoli, Mrs. Godfrey, and Mr. Carrell. The trip would not have been possible without them - thank you!

We’d also like to thank ACIS Educational Tours, and all those involved behind the scenes, plus their fantastic tour guide. This was our first partnership tour and it will not be the last.

Check out some photos from their trip!
