A European Adventure Through Spain and France

This summer, 24 middle schoolers and 4 dedicated chaperones enjoyed an adventure through Spain, France, and the coast!

The group began in Madrid, exploring the Prado Museum, rowing boats in Retiro Park, and fueling up on local paella and tapas. Next, they stepped back in time in Toledo to visit the historic Gothic cathedral, Medieval Synagogue, and Church of St. Tomé before putting their culinary skills to the test in a cooking class. After a quick pit stop in Burgos, they headed north to Bilbao, to the iconic Guggenheim Museum, and finally wrapped up the Spanish leg in San Sebastián with a guided walking tour of the city and the stunning Miramar Palace.

After a relaxing beach day in Biarritz, they rode the high-speed TGV train to Paris. In the City of Light, the group took a scenic Seine boat cruise, climbed to the top of the Eiffel Tower, toured the Arc de Triomphe, and painted in Montmartre before trying an adventurous escargot dinner. They also visited the Chateau of Versailles for a bike ride through the gardens and a crepe dinner. The unforgettable adventure wrapped up with a nighttime viewing of the sparkling Eiffel Tower lights—a memory that will last forever.

Special shoutout to our incredible trip leader, Mrs. Fallon, and our tireless chaperones, Mrs. Bohman, Mrs. Mitchell, and Mrs. Rispoli. A huge thank you as well to ACIS Educational Tours and the fantastic tour guide for making this journey possible!
