5th graders present on neuroplasticity

Independence 5th graders recently demonstrated their brain power when they presented lessons on neuroplasticity to a group of "students" (school faculty & staff members). The assignment was part of their Learning Applications (LeApps) curriculum. Students were given several pre-selected websites to use for research and worked in groups to understand the concept of neuroplasticity. They were required to prove their understanding through a quiz, game, or other creative element. LeApps is a hallmark of the Independence curriculum that begins in fourth grade.  Read more about LeApps here.
