A Week of Adventures for 8th Grade

The 8th Grade Trip is back! Given the unpredictable COVID-19 travel policies this year, we opted out of the traditional 8th grade Boston trip and instead planned a different kind of fun-filled week of new adventures and experiences for our soon-to-be graduates. The students and chaperones made the most of the week traveling to Washington, D.C., Maryland, Virginia, and Pennsylvania, and they made sure to adventure in Delaware, as well.

First up on Monday's itinerary was an overnight trip to Washington, D.C. They visited the Udvar-Hazy Center (part of the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum), spent time at the National Mall, and watched a Washington Nationals baseball game. After spending the night in a hotel in D.C., they traveled to the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore.

On Wednesday, the 8th graders stayed local and went canoeing down the Brandywine River with Northbrook Canoe Company, a trip that was very popular with the Class of 2021. Wednesday's experiences ended with a special Class of 2022 picnic in the Great Stone Barn on our campus.

The last stop on their itinerary was Hersheypark where the students enjoyed everything that a theme park has to offer!
