Achieving State Success
Four Independence students – eighth graders Mia Lu and Zubin Park and seventh graders Katherine Niu and Aadi Varshney – will all represent the school at All-State music events in March.
Mia earned Delaware All-State Junior Band accolades for clarinet for the second-straight year. She will be joined by Aadi, a fellow clarinetist, and Katherine (alto saxophone) to perform at the annual All-State concert on March 30 at Caesar Rodney High School.
Zubin, a cellist, will take the stage at the All-State Orchestra event on March 16 at The Tatnall School. This marks Zubin's second-consecutive All-State Strings selection.

Winter Wonderland Concert & Sing-along

This Thursday, Jan. 17
9:30-10:15 a.m. | Gore Auditorium
All of our Early Childhood I-II and Kindergarten students will attend this concert with their teachers. Parents are welcome to join us but are not required to do so. Independence students do not need to register for this event.
If you have friends or family members who you think may be interested in this fun and free event, please let them know. We'd love to have them join us!

Cost: Entry Fee - $5; Skate Rental - $3
All ECI through fourth-grade students are required to have a parent stay at the event.
