Independence, which led 18-11 at halftime, outscored its opponents 335-138 over the course of the season. Defensively, the Patriots allowed 10 points or fewer on six occasions and surrendered a mere 12.5 per game.

Lauren scored 10 points, with Graham and Riley adding four apiece, for the Patriots, who remain undefeated at 8-0 overall and finish the season unbeaten at home with a 6-0 mark. Independence held a 13-1 halftime advantage.

Lauren netted 13 points and Jane followed with seven for the visiting Patriots (7-0), who battled back from a 16-11 halftime deficit and entered the extra session tied at 28.
