FOURTH-GRADE TEACHER

Position Summary:
The Independence School is seeking a full-time fourth-grade teacher. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Elementary Education with at least three years’ teaching experience, preferably in the elementary grades. Solid knowledge of research-based classroom practices and curricula to enhance differentiated instruction and learning is necessary, along with the ability to balance traditional skill building in the areas of language arts and math with 21st-century approaches to learning, including Project-Based Learning (PBL). Candidates should possess strong written communication and interpersonal skills.

EXTENDED DAY STAFF SUPERVISOR

Position Summary:
The Extended Day program is currently looking for an experienced childcare professional who can work with staff and the Director of Extended Day to create a safe, fun and productive environment for children who stay after school. The hours are 2:30-6 p.m., Monday-Friday.
