Welcome to the 2006-2007 School Year

Hello Everyone!

On behalf of the 2006 - 2007 IPA Board, I would like to welcome both our new and returning families. I look forward to meeting you in the year ahead and working with you for the benefit of our children.

In your hands is the IPA Almanack. This newsletter, which was started 2 years ago, will include information about all IPA events, dates, and volunteer opportunities. It will be sent out monthly and will be our main avenue to get information to all Independence families. So please take the time to read it.

I look forward to meeting you at the Ice Cream Social on Wednesday September 6th. It is fun and a relaxing kick-off to the new school year. You can meet your new teachers, visit classrooms and then head to the gym for ice cream. You will see friends that you have missed all summer and have an opportunity to make new friends. Independence apparel, gift certificates and membership information will be available.

In June, a $35,000 contribution was made to the school because of your generous support of IPA events during the last school year. Thank you for all your support.

"The purpose of the IPA is to assist in providing needed programs and services to The Independence School, by organizing and carrying out fundraising and outreach activities for the general welfare of the school community.

While conducting its affairs, members of the IPA strive to foster a close relationship among students, faculty, and staff to benefit the educational process and enhance the public image of The Independence School."
