Parents

The Independence School has earned a well-deserved reputation for its warm family atmosphere. The doors are always open for parents (and grandparents) who have an interest in helping in any number of ways - whether they have a great deal of time to devote, or just one hour per year. This is part of what makes our community special.

Opportunities exist for volunteers at one or more of the many activities and events sponsored either by the school or by the Independence Parents' Association (IPA). Classroom helpers, homeroom parents and chaperones for field trips are welcome and appreciated. Parents and grandparents are invited to join committees that help the school.

Our families very graciously and generously support our critical fundraising efforts, including annual giving and capital campaigns, that allow us to continue to provide an excellent education in an outstanding facility.

There are many ways for parents to become involved. We welcome your participation.
