What is Deferred Giving?
Enabling donors to accomplish estate planning objectives while helping the non profit organizations of their choice, a deferred gift may be directed to any one of many funds such as endowment, special projects or specific curriculum areas. Often, it might be left unrestricted to be used by the school as it is most needed. What is the Legacy Fund?
Non-restricted gifts to endowment are placed in the principal of the Legacy Fund and left intact. Interest on that principal may generate funds for, scholarships, financial aid, and on-going support for The Independence School. A gift to endowment is a gift that continues giving for generations.
