HAPPY NEW YEAR!
We'd like to wish everyone a very Happy New Year, and we hope that all of you and your children enjoyed the (unexpectedly extended) break. The calendar year has changed from 2017 to 2018, but as our 40th anniversary school year continues, we know that our students and faculty will continue to inspire each other, dream big and achieve on unparalleled levels.
REMINDERS
IPA Meeting canceled
The IPA Meeting scheduled for tonight, Tuesday, Jan. 9, has been canceled. The next meeting will take place on Monday, Feb. 5 at 6:30 p.m.

40 Things to Love about Independence
Independence will be celebrating its 40th Anniversary throughout the 2017-18 school year. As part of that celebration, we will highlight, in chronological order, 40 points of pride for our students, our families and the Independence community as a whole.
12. Winter Wonderland Concert & Sing-along
Started last January, this new Indy tradition features Bill Currier from "We Kids Rock!" leading our Early Childhood I-II and Kindergarten students in an acoustic sing-along. However, if last year's inaugural concert serves as any indication, a dance party is sure to break out on the floor of the Gore Auditorium, as well. Parents, family members and friends of our youngest learners are all welcome to join in the fun.

9:30-10:15 a.m. | Gore Auditorium
All of our Early Childhood I-II and Kindergarten students will attend this concert with their teachers. Parents are welcome to join us but are not required to do so. Independence students do not need to register for this event.
If you have friends or family members who you think may be interested in this fun and free event, please let them know. We'd love to have them join us!
