Campus
Located in the " Pike Creek Valley" in New Castle County, Delaware, The Independence School’s 130,000 square foot facility is surrounded by 90 acres. Our facility includes a 900-seat auditorium, performing arts center, a full-size gymnasium, a library/media center, well-equipped art classrooms, a computer lab and an art gallery.
Hours & Extended Care
The school day runs from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with clubs, enrichment activities and athletics meeting after school. Extended Care is offered from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
History
The Independence School was founded in 1978 by parents seeking a challenging education that would be strong in the academic areas, arts, foreign languages and athletics. The school reflects and emphasizes traditional American values in the Judeo-Christian tradition.
