Our graduates are well accepted by a diversity of local high schools, as well as boarding schools, with many Independence students earning scholarships and special recognition including advanced placement in a variety of courses.

Alumni Success

  • Independence School graduates are accepted by the most competitive secondary schools in the region.
  • Alumni frequently rank at the top of their classes as Valedictorians, Salutatorians, National Honor Society members, AP Scholars, National Merit Scholars and Governor’s School of Excellence awardees.
  • Independence alumni are often named to All-State Chorus, Band, and Orchestra, and receive All-State and All-Conference Athletics honors, and are selected for scholastic art and language honor societies.
